If you have computer skills in Website design, you can really make some good money in Nigeria.

Website design is one of those jobs I did when I was still in the university and looking for extra cash. It is the kind of job or contract you can get and work at your own pace and from anywhere but you would need to have computer skills.

I actually did focus more on web animations while my partner did more of the web design and for each contract I did, I earned around N10,000 to N20,000. Well those days I was really good in Macromedia flash.

There are a growing number of Nigerian businesses going online and website designers are also specializing in various areas such as simple brochure websites, wordpress blogs, social media integration, dynamic and static websites and so on.

So, there still is a need for website designers and developers as there are many people who don't really know what it takes to launch their business online but wound still want a website.

How much you can make from this business depends on how skilled you are and the quality of your work. There are web designers who charge from N200,000 to N1m for a job and there are some who charge as low as N20,000 per job and the income is really based on your level of uniqueness and expertise.
