There is a lot to say about making money online in Nigeria and I have already written a couple of posts on it including an ebook. Making money online in Nigeria involves using the internet in such a way that brings income for you.
In Nigeria, a lot of people use the internet for various reasons such as social networking, chatting, emailing, job hunting and so on. However, there is also a growing crop of people who are using the internet to make money online. If you really want to use the internet to start making money online, then you need to set up a online business plan that works.I have always said that when someone wants to make money online, you need to have three things at hand:- Online visibility
- Something to offer
- Ability to get paid onlineHere are several ways you can start making money online, even if you are living in Nigeria and have no US address, Paypal account or even a - Article writing

- Direct selling
- Affiliate marketing
- Freelancing
- Web designing
- Domain registration
- Selling virtual products
- Internet marketingEach of these items which I mentioned above can be further expanded on and there are a lot of options to choose from. So if for instance you want to make money from something like: Article writing:
This could be writing as a freelancer, contract, yourself and receive royalty payments, pay per click or immediate one-off payments. Web content publishing:
You can use your website for setting up sites like blogs, forums, classified, Q and A websites that can be monetized with advertising like Adsense, Adbrite, Infolinks, Bidvertiser and so on Direct selling:
You can sell recharge cards, ebooks, real books, songs, ring tones, tutorial questions and receive payments using local payments or even Alertpay, Fastecash, Moneybookers or 2checkout.So there are a lot of ways to make money online in Nigeria, you just really need to think of a good business idea that sells. Even if you can do things like keeping an old newspaper archive website will still bring in a lot of traffic and money for you. People make a lot of money in Nigeria doing very little things most of which are not too competitive yet. I once even wrote about people being able to make money from things like youtube videos, online teaching and so on. So you just have to think of something that you can offer to people on the internet and yet make money from it. Don't think about the money first, think about the people's need and the money will come later on.
