This is actually a great opportunity for computer service providers, cybercafes and people skilled in such businesses. Even if you don't know much about computers, you can still make money by employing people who do so just by setting up a small business for this purpose. You can make serious money in Nigeria just by helping students get registered for the yearly UTME.

Today, Jamb has began officially accepting registrations for its yearly UTME exams which are held sometime around April and for next year's exam, the forms/scratch cards are already on sale.

There are series of ways to make money from doing this business and you can maximize your income just by providing such students with all the logistics they need to get registered for Jamb.

Two major ways you can make money doing this Jamb business
1. As a registration agent
2. As a scratch card dealer

Also, for those who have wanted to know how to make money in Nigeria before Christmas, this is also one way to do so and the earlier you start providing the service, the more market you will capture.

As a registration agent
This basically means that you have a formal relationship with Jamb by registering your business or company as a registration cente. You may not be able to directly provide students with scratch cards since you are not a direct dealer but you can provide regsitration and otherservices which students need to get registered online for a fee and some of these services include:

- Biometric scanning - over N100
- Internet access - N150/hr
- Printing - About N50 per page
- Registration services - Over N500 per student
- Digital Passport photographs - about N200

So you see, apart from the fact that you may not get or sell scratch cards as a dealer, there are a whole lot of other ways you can make money by offering Jamb registration services. You can even accept manual submissions from students and just take their digital photos and biometric details and then help them process their admissions in batches and which they can confirm online by themselves and you also give them a printout copy afterwards. To be able to run a registration center, Jamb now requires that such centers are regsitered first with about N10,000 and not charge students over 700 for other services

As a scratch card dealer
This mostly has to do with the scratch card sales and you can apply as a Jamb scratch dealer if you fulfill all the requirements. You can contact Fleet technologies who are the major dealers for Waec and Jamb scratch cards - http://dealers.fleettechltd.com/register.aspx. You can get the cards at a discount and then resell to students while making serious money afterwards. Apart from being a dealer, you can also offer other UTME registration services to students as I mentioned above.

How much can one make with Jamb registration business?
Well, considering the statistics that for instance in Lagos, over 100,000 students did Jamb in Lagos alone as at 2011, then if can capture about 10% of that, you could be making millions based on the kind of services you offer.

I think Jamb only allos students to register from official registration centers for now.
